The new fitness facility in The District is the first for Legacy Fitness, but it won't be the last. A second location is already planned as part of a new 200-unit resort living project in north Ankeny. So, Legacy Fitness members will benefit from access to both when the second location opens in 2021.

Welcome News in Prairie Trail

This is welcome news to residents of Prairie Trail. The development is designed based on the principles of new urbanism. New urbanism design provides more opportunities for a healthy, active lifestyle. For instance, it focuses on nearby green spaces, pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods and walking and biking trails.

A focus on fitness makes Legacy Fitness an important addition to the growing list of businesses in The District. Already we are home to several other popular fitness brands. CampusCycle is a spin studio and Pure Barre offers strength training using a ballet barre. And YogaSix will be opening soon in The District.
