It’s all about the PIZZA! Join us for the fourth annual Pizza Fest, a festival dedicated to all things PIZZA!!! Pizza tasting and food fare from area pizzerias, restaurants and food truck vendors, plus domestic and local craft beers! Ymm! Admission is FREE!!!

There is A LOT of excitement about our headliner: hit American singer and songwriter Andy Grammer! Grammer has taken the music world by storm with a succession of anthemic pop hits, six of which are certified gold or better. His debut album featured the platinum singles “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me.”

Not only is Andy Grammer headlining on Saturday night, but here are 3 new ways to enjoy the show just announced:

Warming up the crowd will be two rockin’ bands — the All Nighters beginning at 5:30 pm, followed by BS & The Liars at 7:30 pm. Come early and get a spot!

It’s All About Fun for the Whole Family!

There’s fun for everyone in the family, starting with the Best of the Fest Pizza Contest, with all your favorite food vendors woo-ing votes to be named the Best of the Fest. And you won’t want to miss the pizza eating contest …with a grand prize winner enjoying free pizza all year long from Fong’s! There’s also a dough tossing contest for kids…they’ll learn the art of the toss by Fong’s master dough tosser, then try their hand for three awesome prizes!!

The kids will love the Pizza Party Fun Zone, with all kinds of games and activities…like Pepperoni Ring Toss, Pizza Play Dough Station, and sidewalk chalk. Kids can get a temporary tattoo, their face painted and more! And from 4:30 – 7:30 pm, they can meet the Snow Sisters, Polynesian Princess and Super Hero from Storybook Adventures and the League of Heros!

The District’s own Innovators Academy will be at the Fest with pizza fun, like video games with a pizza controller and a pizza piano. For a small fee, kids can make a special craft with AR Workshop or play their favorite video game with Game Truck of Iowa. And the Des Moines Children’s Museum will unveil a new interactive traveling display.

The festival will be held in the new Town Square, an acre of greenspace and tree-lined walkways connecting retail, entertainment, residential and offices spaces. The fun will run 4 – 11 pm.
